Last night there was a little kitty outside!
I said, “Little kitty! I want to play with you!” So I ran outside and beckoned to the little kitty. After some tongue-clicking coaxing and sitting down on the driveway to let it know I was serious about spending some quality time with it, it came over and let me pet it. We were having a grand time and then suddenly Little Kitty hissed! I thought it was hissing at me, but then I looked up and the GIANT CAT that lives across the street from us had come over! I said, “Giant Cat, Little Kitty and I are playing.”

But Giant Cat would not go away and Little Kitty backed down and walked away towards the car, and I said, “Little Kitty! No! I want YOU!” but Little Kitty did not come back and it sat back and watched as Giant Cat sneakily walked around me and secret loved on my back.
“No! Giant cat! I want to play with Little Kitty!”
But Little Kitty cowered back in disappointment and eventually went underneath the car.
“Little Kitty! It was you! It was always you!”
But Giant Cat kept loving on me and eventually I said, “Well, you are kind of cute too. Even if you are a giant.”
And Little Kitty disappeared and I played with Giant Cat for a while. And then I said, “Giant
Cat, I have to go to bed.”

I walked towards the house, and Giant Cat followed, and then I walked inside, and Giant Cat thought about coming in, but then I closed the door and it sat down and stared at me through the window in the door.
“I’m sorry, Giant Cat, you cannot come in.”
“Meow,” said Giant Cat.
“You can sit there if you want, but you cannot come in.”
“Meow,” said Giant Cat.
“Nevermore,” said the raven.

(the dialogue is not exaggerated. I think I actually sang a song to the cats too)

3 things that made me laugh just now walking back from lunch:
1) walking past amy’s ice cream with a glass storefront, I see this guy being fed ice cream by his, presumably, girlfriend. He has his lips around the spoon, probably making an "mmm" noise, but his eyes are saying, “what the hell?!”
2) walking past the fountain, there’s a group of 3 people. one of the guy’s tops catches my eye because it looks like a barfing comic. I look at his shorts, and the pattern is like a super condensed version and even more colorful version of his top.
3) walking back into the building, I approach the elevators where a couple people are coming out. One lady has an extremely cute puppy with her. Another lady is wearing an extremely low cut dress and has extremely big and saggy boobs. “gross,” I mumble under my breath.

I have to answer the phone a lot at work, which terrifies me to the core. I have an irrational fear of strangers and phones. I thought i was getting better at answering the phone, but this this happened:

“Fauxne” pas #38t486:
"PBK, this is alexa."
“could you give me luis’s email address?”
“sure, it’s
“appreciate it.”
“dink…bye.”

What the deuce! I totally said “dink!” I was about to say “thanks,” and then I thought, ‘wait, why would I say ‘thanks?’” So instead I said “dink.”

On Sunday, I am running the Cap10K. Today was packet pickup day.

When I was leaving the packet pickup place, I looked left to check for cars as I crossed out into the parking lot, and then I kept walking forward without noticing that a guy was walking straight towards me. Rather than moving out of his way, since we were headed straight for a collision, I just said, “Ahhhhh” and kept walking. He said “Excuse me,” like a normal human being, but that was the best I could come up with.

In 3rd grade, we did a project to raise mealworms. it was very exciting because we got to bring in mason jars, fill them with oatmeal, and then our teacher dropped a little mealworm in each person's jar.

i started the project very excited, but as time went on, having a mealworm wore on me.
there were times i felt like, "you are my little meal worm and you shall become my beautiful beetle!"
other times i felt like, "you are repulsive and the very sight of you sitting in a jar of oatmeal challenges my ability to control wretching reflexes!"

after some time i brought him home and put him on the bookshelf. a few weeks later he was shriveled and black; i cheated him out of 3 of his 4 life stages.

this is why i should not have children.

I have had to change my jersey number this season. It has taken many months of careful selection, but I have finally done it. I have changed my number.

10 is my original number. Feb 10th is my birthday. Perfect 10. Perfect number. But, I knew that it was also the captain's number. Time for a change, I said.

88! 88 is a super lucky Chinese number. "Ba-ba" sounds like "fa-fa", which means wealth and prosperity! Class of '08! '08 Olympics! Fat kids have to wear fat numbers to look skinnier! 88 will be my number.

But, 88 was then taken by another girl on Showdown! So I had to choose...

66! 66 is also lucky in Chinese. Pronounced "liu-liu" which sounds a lot like the word for flow, 66 means everything will go your way. Flow is good for Ultimate. Then my mom called me and told me we have a mug at home with the number 66 on it and did I want it to match my jersey? Yes I did. Just imagine: me in my 66 jersey drinking out of a 66 mug. Ah, perfection.

An added bonus of being #66 will be taking pictures with people who are #6. What a combination.

So I'm going with 66.

mom: you know what's great about you? you have the ability to be happy with anything; you don't need to be perfect. you can get to about 60, 70% and you will be like, "yay! how wonderful!" you are content with whatever you're doing.

thanks...i think?

i just started my day, but i already don't want it to end.

when thinking about food, my thought process usually goes something like this:
"man, pizza sounds good. no i don't want pizza it's not good for me. maybe just a bowl of cereal. man but i really want that pizza. what about pizza AND cereal...yeah...that sounds good..."

it's a miracle i'm not obese.
